Public consultation - seaweed farm at Port a' Bhuiltin
FRIDAY 27 MAY 2016 from 16:30 to 18:00 at the SCOTTISH ASSOCIATION FOR MARINE SCIENCE, Dunbeg
SAMS is holding a pre-application consultation event regarding a proposed licensable marine activity at Port a' Bhuiltin (N56o29'25, W-5o28'9). The activity consists of the deployment of a 100x100m grid for the cultivation of seaweeds.
This is an opportunity to find out about and influence SAMS' plans regarding research and development into seaweed farming.
This will be an open and free event.
Further information concerning the proposed seaweed farm can be obtained from the prospective candidate: Philip.Kerrison@sams.ac.uk (SAMS, Oban PA37 1QA).
Anyone who wishes to provide comments on the proposed seaweed farm can do so by writing to the prospective candidate by 20 May. Comments should be dated and clearly state the name and full return email or postal address of those making comments. Comments made to the prospective candidate are not representations to the Scottish Ministers. If SAMS submits an application for a marine licence to Scottish Ministers, an opportunity will be given for representations to be made to the Scottish Ministers on the application.
