We know rising CO2 emissions are affecting global temperatures, but how is this going to affect our oceans? The oceans absorb about a third of our carbon dioxide, and this is already having profound effects on seawater chemistry, and directly impacting marine ecosystems.   Combined with the increasing sea surface temperature, ocean acidification is likely to cause changes in our oceans.  This lecture gives a broad overview of how ‘the other CO2 problem’ may impact our oceans, and the life within them.

A talk by Dr Natalie Hicks of Scottish Marine Institute.
